This basic Mandarin course is for people with zero prior knowledge of Mandarin. During the course you will be introduced to the Chinese language. We will dedicate most attention to speaking and putting together simple sentences. While we will be introducing Chinese characters in this course you will just be familiarised with this writing system and will not need to write characters. You will learn to read Hanyu Pinyin China's system for writing Chinese in Western characters. Furthermore we will teach you how to distinguish the different tones in Mandarin.
Upon finishing the course you will be able to:
- Make simple sentences
- Introduce yourself in Mandarin and have a simple conversation
- Make simple statements and questions with the basic vocabulary you learnt
- Easily read Hanyu Pinyin
