The Elementary Chinese Course is designed for native English speakers to learn Chinese. It consists of 12 lessons in each volume. It has been compiled under the guidance of the new the HSK Guideline and in consultation with NOTCFL Syllabus. The objective of this series is to develop the student's ability to communicate in Chinese through the study of language structure, language function, and related cultural knowledge along with the training of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
It is well paced into 3 levels, with 12 sessions/24hours per level. Students will be taught both Pinyin (Phonetic system to spell the characters) and the Chinese script. The basic strokes and radicals will be introduced to give the students the basic ideas of how Chinese characters are formed and developed.
The maximum class size is only 6-students per class. Every student will get sufficient time to practice their mandarin during the class and get enough attention from the instructor.
