Course details

This designed for those who would like to pursue a career working with young people and teenagers in community based settings. It provides a foundation for those who wish to further their studies in the area of youth work. Participants will be required to undertake work experience in a youth setting. Learners will explore particular issues for young people in modern Irish society such as family breakdown, addiction studies, and youth culture.

Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Leaving Certificate Applied with a merit profile
  • Full QQI Level 4 Award with a merit profile
  • Mature Applicants – experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications

All placesareofferedfollowing successfulinterview. Learners must be 18 years old by the 30th November 2015 to facilitate work experience and Gardavetting.
