    This unit covers translating a project brief into a copy for a range of writing contexts such as research documents, reports, articles and proposals. The skills include assessing the project brief; identifying the deliverables of the project; researching the topic and writing the copy by applying the styles, structures and formats relevant to the type of copy required.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    • Assess the project brief to identify the project’s objectives
    • Identify the deliverables required and specific to the copy to meet the objectives of the project
    • Research the topic by gathering, evaluating and analysing a variety of sources to present information in the copy which is relevant to the target audience / reader
    • Write the copy using the styles, structures and formats for the type of copy to be written
