Course details
On Completion of this unit, learner will have the knowledge and application skills in performing facial treatment and able to apply them at the workplace.This unit is within the competency category of Body Therapy and is one of the modules leading to the CET certificates.
COURSE OUTLINES
- Carry out pre-treatment activities-personal grooming / hygiene, infection & preventive care;
- Consult with client-basic A&P on facial care, A&P skin (structure & function), skin types & characteristics, skin analysis process, types of skin disorders/visual assessment, types of contraindications, importance of reviewing & updating client profile, client consent;
- Perform facial treatment - sequence & steps in facial treatment, range of facial care treatment products, eye care and eye area treatment, types of masks, types and effects of different massage movements, principles of good massage practice, maintain client's comfort/modesty, importance of client feedback;
- Carry out post-treatment activities - importance of giving after care advice
Requirement
PSLE, ESS WPLN L3 English/Chinese or equivalent
Award Criteria
Trainees must pass the Final Assessment as Competent
