Course details
This course would enable the learners to gain the skills and knowledge in recognising, assessing, evaluating, control and manage WSH risks and implement WSH management systems at the workplace. It would also enable the learners to attain the qualification necessary for certification as WSH Officer under the WSH Act.
Who should Attend this course?
It is particularly relevant to those who would like to attain the qualification of Specialist Diploma in WSH, which is part of the certification requirements for registration as WSH Officer under the WSH Act.

How will I be assessed?
- Theory – Written and Oral Questioning, Submission of Work Assignments
- Practical - Role-play, demonstration & case study
- Assessment - Participant's assessment will be conducted throughout the course
Will I recieve a certificate of completion?
Participants will recieve a full certificate (Specialist Diploma in WSH) and a transcript after completion of all modules
Graduates of the course may apply to the University of Newcastle’s Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (BenvOHS) delivered at PSB Academy, and enjoy a possible exemption of four modules, subjected to approval and other academic requirements.
Requirements
- A recognized Technology/ Science-related diploma/ Engineering degree;
- At least 2 years of WSH relevant working experien
OR
- Possess ES Workplace Literacy Level 6 or GCE 'O' Level English grade C6; AND
- Possess ES Workplace Numeracy Level 6 or GCE 'O' Level Maths grade C6, or Mathematics bridging course; AND
- Possess GCE 'O' Level Science (Physics) grade C6, or Physics bridging course; AND
- Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Advanced Certificate in WSH; AND
- At least 2 years of post-qualification working experience as WSH supervisor, coordinator or similar occupational role
