Course details
This training provides the skills and knowledge on how to sketch the footwear components, various footwear styles, create 2D designs on paper, 3D designs on last and transform sketches to technical designs with details on edge finishing and stitches.
OBJECTIVES
- Ascertain footwear components and parts as per industry norms
- Determine points of measurement to draw the last and footwear structure
- Determine fundamentals and method of footwear sketching as per industry norms
- Sketch various footwear styles to scale using the given specifications
- Add technical specifications to the developed sketches
- Evaluate the footwear technical sketches in accordance with given samples and measurements
- Make amendments to the technical specification sheet for production
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Preferably possess GCE O-level qualification with passes in English and Math or ESS WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
