Course details
This course provides an overview on colours, silhouettes and fashion. Silhouettes & fashion encompasses different types of garments, colour coordination, fashion details and latest trends. The learner will develop knowledge on fashion trends, garment types, silhouettes, styles and colour coordination.
This course is presented in an attractive, easy to follow manner and is accompanied by multitude of pictorial presentations of different garment types. Interesting work activities are set at the end of each lesson to ensure that participants maximise their learning through experiential activities and visual stimulation.
OBJECTIVES
- Learn how to identify different garment silhouettes, types and details based on industry norms.
- Learn how to convert US and EU sizing according to the standard international size chart.
- Learn how to identify different colour coordinating schemes.
- Learn how to match colours to flatter different skin tones in accordance with colour matching theory.
- Learn how to coordinate selected apparel for various body types.
- Learn how to coordinate selected styles and colours to hide or accentuate body parts.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Possess at least 3 GCE “N” level passes including English and Mathematics or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 4 and above.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
