This unit covers the outcomes required to effectively plan and deliver an engaging formal presentation to inform, persuade, or sell.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Prepare to deliver a presentation by systematically researching the topic and the audience
- Develop presentation techniques to engage the audience, creating emotional appeal
- Rehearse to practice timing, pacing, phrasing, and flow
- Deliver the presentation in an engaging and entertaining way
- Anticipate and thoughtfully prepare for any audience questions to meet the audience’s needs for information and content
- Create a back-up plan that outlines contingencies for technical failures, last-minute changes, and other potential problems
- Evaluate presentation based on feedback from reviewers or an audience to identify potential improvements
