Course details
This course covers planning, producing and presenting a news bulletin or current affairs story for television. The skills include planning the production of a news bulletin or current affairs story for television; writing a script; conducting interviews on camera; obtaining any additional audio-visual material required; recording voice-over to serve as narration; packaging recorded materials for broadcast; and presenting a news bulletin or current affairs story for television.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Be familiar with broadcast language and terminologies
- Possess technical competency in studio and outdoor production
- Possess knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the production team members
- Be able to communicate effectively in a creative environment
- Be familiar with applicable broadcasting regulations, guidelines and code of practice
- Possess knowledge of health and safety within a broadcast environment
