Course details
This unit covers competencies needed to provide direct support in Crisis Communications. It also covers competencies needed to plan, develop and support the organisation’s crisis management process. A good appreciation and understanding of the whole process of crisis management will enable trainees to perform their assigned roles more effectively.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Participate in planning, developing and supporting a crisis management plan that will effectively respond to all types of crisis.
- Communicate and respond effectively during a crisis by managing the media, the public and supporting organisational spokespersons
- Manage the Crisis Communications process in support of the overall Crisis Management effort based on the organisation’s objectives and industry best practices
- Develop and help manage the Crisis Communications teams with effective team management techniques
