WSQ Manage Risk

Course details

This unit covers developing, implementing and evaluating a risk management plan for the organisation. The skills include assessing all potential risks across the organisation and the development of strategies and plans to mitigate all risk situations through elimination, isolation or protection. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Identify the relevant stakeholders and supervising body to make final decisions with regards to risk.
• Determine the scope of acceptable risk as defined by the stakeholders and the role that risk will play in the decision-making process.
• Define the scope of the risk assessment by identifying what role that risk play in the decision-making process and who will be making the final decisions in regards to risk.
• Adopt a risk framework to identify and analyse risk to measure impact.
• Mitigate and/or resolve the potential risks assigning an action plan/treatment for that risk.
• Validate the solution/plan with the stakeholders, through a series of meetings and/or submit a detailed document for review by the stakeholders.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan through a debrief.
