Course details
This training provides the participants with the key tools to approach a market positioning of a footwear brand or line. They will learn how to identify target customers, study their needs and pinpoint their potential competitors to strategically select the appropriate materials and constructions for their product, the right logo, and packaging and determine the various retail distribution channels. They will also be able to plan, develop footwear merchandise plan for identified target markets with regards to price, assortment and style to optimize profit.
OBJECTIVES
- Identify factors contributing to build brand identity according to industry practices
- Identify target market and consumer demographics
- Create branding strategy to establish a footwear fashion brand
- Formulate a merchandising plan based on organizational policies and procedures
- Evaluate the merchandise plan through qualitative and quantitative analysis
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Preferably possess 3 GCE ‘O’ level qualification with passes in English and Math or ESS WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above.
Be able to manage basic computer skills
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
