Course details
This course covers the process of determining the client's lighting needs; negotiating with the client; developing a lighting design/plan; visiting the venue to determine what is required in order to finalise the lighting design/plan. Learn to contract the appropriate resources and ensure that the appropriate lights and equipment are used.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Meet with the Production Team to identify the desired lighting requirements according to the creative vision of the live televised event
- Plan the elements of the lighting solution in accordance with the venue requirements and health and safety considerations
- Develop and manage the lighting approach, including the acquisition of materials or resources to meet the production's requirement
- Execute the lighting plan to achieve the creative vision of the televised production
- Update the lighting plan based on changes to the televised production
- Supervise removal of equipment in a safe manner from the venue site after the production
