This unit focuses on the inpidual workplaces need to identify competencies required to address industry-specific and occupation-specific workplace safety and health issues, for example, particular hazards, where these differ from, or build on, the generic competencies.

- Interpret workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
- Educate workers on workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
- Implement and control workplace safety and health management programmes
- Implement workplace risk management programmes
- Maintain workplace risk control measures
