Course details
This training provides a good understanding of the importance of shoe comfort, factors that influence the fit and the various drivers of a high quality shoes making. Participants will analyze the relationship between the last and the foot and experiment the fit in pattern making for different shoe styles.
OBJECTIVES
- Identify fundamentals of foot anatomy
- Identify quality specification and footwear construction as per industry norms
- Ascertain relationship between human foot and the shoe last; and vice versa
- Conduct fit evaluation for footwear
- Provide recommendation to improve footwear quality
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Preferably possess3 GCE ‘O’ level qualification with passes in English and Math or ESS WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
