The purpose of WSQ Digital Sculpting is to equip the participants with the right skills and knowledge to perform digital sculpting from the specifies software, ZBrush. The participants will be equipped with the competency to be able to utilize the advanced functions and tools to create high resolution textures for 3D Models / Sculpting.
LECTURE BIO:
Charlie Kimis a Senior Modeler with Lucasfilm Animation, developing 3d assets for feature animation and live action movie projects, which includes Transformer 4 (2014). Previously, he was a senior character artist with LucasArts Singapore, responsible for building 3d models for main characters and texturing for game assets. He also has vast experience as a concept artist, and has strong illustration and painting skills.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Section 1
- Basic of the ZBrush UI and getting started
- Introduction
- Interface Review
- Canvas Navigation in Edit Mode
- Brushes, Strokes, Masking and Alpha
- Introduction to Materials and Colours
Section 2
- High-Resolution Sculpting
- First pass concept sculpting (topic given or existing concept: Human Anatomy or Creature)
Section 3
- Final Presentation
- Set up lighting and bpr renders with final composition using Photoshop
