Course details
This training provides an advance stage of pattern making for variations of fancy men’s and ladies’ shoes. Participants will review various techniques in pattern making and experience pattern making from 2D to 3D and vice versa. Every stage of the pattern making construction from preparing the last, marking location points, measurements to creation of allowance will be covered.
OBJECTIVES
- Prepare the last for pattern making through masking for variations of fancy men’s and ladies’ shoe types
- Mark critical points and sketch out the design on the last and according to design specifications for fancy men’s and ladies’ shoes
- Remove the masking from the last and flatten it on the pattern drafting paper for fancy men’s and ladies’ shoes
- Identify the difference for the inside part of the last for variations of fancy men’s and ladies’ shoes according to design specifications
- Create sectional frame to build design with specific propositions for fancy men’s and ladies’ shoes
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Have attended the “Create Basic Footwear Patterns” or attained equivalent know-how or courses
Preferably possess 3 GCE ‘O’ level qualification with passes in English and Math or ESS WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
