Course details
For junior producers starting out, meticulous planning and having an overview of the full production schedule as well as essential logistical elements will ensure a smooth production process. Learn the skills of managing the production with sufficient planning beforehand. This unit covers the planning of pre-production of a film, television and multimedia production through research, preparation and presentation of ideas and by visualisation of the creative concept.
Participants will learn skills that include working with the executive producer, the producer, a studio or a production company; reading the script and identifying the core elements that will contribute to the realisation of the script from final draft to screen production for any film, television and multimedia production. Participants will also learn how to visualise the creative concepts, and contribute to the storyboard. Participants will walk away with knowledge of contributing to the selection and hiring of key personnel within the creative and technical team in conjunction with the producer as well as deciding the key logistical decisions which will be necessary to fulfill the requirements of the production.
