Course details
This course provides you a hands-on learning experience with footwear masters to cut, stitch and construct a ladies court shoe. The participants will carry out hands-on activity to cut leather components from existing patterns and assembly them together using various types of footwear equipment and tools. They will also conduct a self-evaluation of the finished products for quality and recommend improvements when needed.
OBJECTIVES
- Identify tools, equipment and components required to construct ladies’ court shoes in accordance to industry norms or organizational standards
- Cut shoe upper and other components based on given shoe patterns
- Perform manually or with machine, stitch shoe uppers and other components and accessories
- Assemble the various shoes’ components to complete the ladies’ court shoes
- Perform finishing on ladies’ shoes
- Evaluate the workmanship and construction of the ladies’ court shoes
- Take corrective actions to rectify the abnormalities or defects
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Preferably possess 3 GCE ‘O’ level qualification with passes in English and Math or ESS WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above.
Physical ability to perform operation work
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Participant will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) provided he/she meets the following requirements:
- 75% attendance rate
- Assessed to be competent in given competency standard
CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
