Personnel who require the skills and knowledge in carrying out planning work and risk control measures to comply with WSH requirements
OBJECTIVE
To provide participants with knowledge on workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations to plan daily work to meet WSH requirements. They will obtain the fundamental knowledge in identifying hazards and assessing risks while complying with WSH procedures at their workplace and hence implement risk control measures.
COVERAGE
Plan daily work to meet WSH requirements
- Establish job and WSH objectives according to work instructions, organizational WSH procedures and policies
- Plan work activities to meet WSH requirements with supervisor
- Report any abnormalities and problems encountered in planning daily work
Identify and monitor hazards
- Identify and monitor hazards by conducting WSH checks on work area, safety signage, safety devices and equipment
- Report any abnormalities and problems encountered in identifying and monitoring hazards
Comply with WSH requirements
- Use work equipment, safety devices and equipment according to organizational WSH procedures and WSH legislative requirements
- Report WSH issues, workplace emergencies, any abnormalities and problems
- Implement risk controls and review risk controls
- Carry out risk controls
FUNDING
This course is approved for funding under the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) and registered on Skillsconnect.
