Course details
The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) qualification is designed for individuals who keen to join the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) profession as a WSH Coordinator.
This course is a recongnized qualification for registration as a WSH Coordinator under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
Course Outline
Trainees are required to complete the following nine modules:
- Investigate and Report WSH incidents
- Coordinate Implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans
- Measure, Monitor and Report WSH Performance
- Administer WSH Policy
- Identify WSH Hazards and Implement Control Measures
- Coordinate WSH Management System with Legal Compliance
- Promote WSH Culture Development
- Facilitate Effective Communication and Engagement at the Workplace
- Solve Problems & Make Decisions at Supervisory Level
In addition, trainee is to complete one of the elective unit below:
- Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant
Who is this course for?
This course is relevant to trainees who are currently holding position as:
- WSH Coordinator
- SHE Coordinator
- HSE Coordinator
- EHS Coordinator
- Safety Coordinator or WSH Supervisor.
Requirements
- ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5 OR
- WSH AND GCE ‘N’ Level English & Mathematics Grade 5 AND
- Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH with at least 1 year fo WSH relevant working experience
How will I be assessed?
Written Assessment, Oral questioning, Written Report
Will I recieve a certificate of completion?
Participants will recieve a full certificate (Advanced Certificate in WSH) and a transcript after completion of all modules.
