To provide learners with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to use a word processing application to create a limited range of appropriately structures and accurate documents

• There are no minimum entry requirements. Applicants will have the opportunity to advise of any special learning requirements on applica-tion/registration

• FETAC Level 3 in Word Processing

Assessment

• 60% Portfolio / Collection of Work and 40% Skills Demonstration

Programme Content

• Understand Word and its common uses and features
• Be capable of confidently using page layout, step up, page break and other toolbars
• Create new word documents, modify existing documents and save
• Cut, copy and paste word documents
• Use word for typing a range of business documents to include letters, resumes and cover letters
• Use proofreading tools to perform grammar and spelling.
• Learner to use a range of printing tools including print preview and printing options
