    Offering a NFQ Level 6 award from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), this programme, delivered in partnership with O2 Ireland and hundreds of Small-to-Medium-sized businesses nationally, will equip participants for: ? Self-employment as e-Commerce publishers and Digital Marketers, servicing local businesses in their area, or; ? To start new careers as digitally-skilled employees. Delivered in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, and Dublin, and the programme aims to provide foundation skills for the E-Commerce and Online & Social Media Marketing sub-sectors of Digital Media, combined with entrepreneurial skills. Each Web Activator participant will undertake freelance work-placements with local SMEs. Full colour vision is essential; Wish to pursue a career in Digital Media/Digital Marketing/ICT industries (essential). PC and Internet competency (required). Interest in exploring the potential of self-employment (essential).

    Requirements

    • No minimum age requirement
    • FETAC level 5 major award; or Leaving Certificate w/six subjects with minimum Grade C3 ordinary levels Mathematics and English and D3 plus in 2 subjects at higher level; Student Participants who do not meet the minimum entry requirements but with significant experience would be considered for entry through Recognition of Prior Learning.
    • Abstract concepts (desirable). Ability to think logically (desirable). Ability to think analytically (essential). Self-directed learning ability (essential). Willingness to follow instructions and ability to work collaboratively with others.
