The course topical outline provides a summary of course topics that can be used as a guide when progressing through the course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Scope of web design training in Nepal
2. Create a mock-up design
3. Recognize and understand HTML web page elements
4. Know how to write HTML code (W3C Standards)
5. Understand and apply effective web design principles
6. Enhance web pages using text formatting, color, graphics, images, and css framework
7. Incorporate forms into web pages
8. Understand and apply CSS to format web page elements
9. Plan, design, and publish a multi-page website
10. Multi-screen device friendly (Responsive)

This course introduces students to basic web design using HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and Responsive Web Design Techniques (Mobile, Tablet and other devices friendly). Throughout the course, students are introduced to planning and designing effective web pages; implementing web pages by writing HTML and CSS code; enhancing web pages with the use of page layout techniques, text formatting, graphics, images, and using framework; and producing a functional, multi-page website.

With the booming IT industry across the world, the internet has become one of the most important means of communication today and web sites are the lifelines of the internet. So career scope in web designing is tremendous and career opportunities are good.
