Voice-over recordings have a wide variety of applications in business, education and recreation. We hear recorded voices on radio and TV, in films, in public places, on the Internet, in video games and over the telephone. The persuasive and emotional power of the spoken word is undeniable, but its success does not depend on voice quality alone. An effective voice-over springs from the speaker’s ability to deliver a story, idea or message in a captivating and memorable way.
This unit is intended for those already working as voice-over performers or who have experience in recording their voice for playback uses. Participants can expect practical tips and practice in voice-over for advertisements, documentaries, news presentation, film dubbing and more. This unit also includes vocal exercises and practice recordings for playback and critique. Graduates of the Voice-Over Basics unit will find this unit a useful extension to improve their core skills and undergo one-to-one coaching with the trainer.
