Course details
In this course attendees will be given a brief introduction on virtual studio technology, its advantages and limitations, advertising, marketing and "Channel Branding" opportunities in virtual sets, and an overview of "Immersive Graphics" (virtual objects in a live Environment).
Attendees will also be briefed on planning and producing a virtual set production, including different studio locations in one set.
The course will also cover most of the popular terms related to working with virtual set technology, and will also go through some virtual set and immersive graphics case studies.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- General overview of Virtual Sets, including a short history of the technology, the different types of virtual sets and current trends, and typical virtual set layouts
- Building your shows around the advantages of virtual sets
- Using virtual graphics on top of a live set to enhance the show / Using virtual sets outdoorsfor live events and sports coverage
- Planning for two separate physical virtual sets in one studio, very large and small sets, the use of physical props and furniture in virtual sets, wardrobe considerations, and using virtual sets for promos and preproduction
- Integration of real-time data (election, financial, weather) and social media (Twitter, Facebook) into virtual sets for improved representation of information
- Explore the possibilities of Virtual ad insertions into sporting events, as well as sponsor logo, channel branding and virtual product placement and advertising inside sets
