Course details
if you want to play the violin you don’t have to start at an early age. True, if you want to be the next Nigel Kennedy it helps if you begin quite young, but we believe that students at any age can learn to play the violin, and play it well. All it takes is time…and commitment.
Weekly classes are intended not only to teach students to play the violin but also to make music an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. Students gradually master each step required – from holding the instrument and bow to learning proper finger placement and developing their sense of pitch – to ensure a solid musical foundation on the violin.
Lessons are on a one to one basis and are designed to build your skills methodically and thoroughly. By the end of the course you will have learned some essentials of reading and performing music on this magnificent instrument
Participating students will need to have a violin to bring to class and to practice at home.
