Course details
This TV/Film production course is designed for today's new generation of aspiring Film & TV program makers. Students will learn the skills required to make a short film and a documentary with TV inserts using the very latest technologies. You will learn to use HD cameras, Green/White Screen techniques, indoor/outdoor lighting techniques, audio skills, editing on our state-of-the-art equipment. The course is 80% practical and 20% theory based with on-going assessment during the course.
Core Elements
- Camera Operation - Rules & procedures, camera & kit handling, composition, POV,camera moves ,focus and video photography, image processing.
- Exposure - Light metering, lighting techniques, exposure, white balance, colour balance, shadow & highlights, exposure for broadcast, composition, perspective & lenses.
- Sound Recording - Audio monitoring, external microphones, sound for broadcast.
- Location - Location techniques, crew direction , production techniques , interviewing techniques, scene techniques, continuity.
- Capturing the Story - Mastering, storyboard techniques. Editing to DVD
