Course details
This program will give you Senior VCAL plus partial completion of the Certificate IV Youth Work certificate that includes units in care, protection and support services to young people. You will receive an introduction to mental health work and the alcohol and drugs sector, and gain advanced first aid skills.
On successful completion of this program learners are eligible for the award of Senior VCAL and partial completion of the CHC40413 Certificate IV in Youth Work.
The VCAL units of literacy, numeracy, personal development and work skills will be integrated into the learners’ training. Industry-related projects are through service learning and Practical Placements are embedded into the program.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course may provide you with employment opportunities in; residential services, supported housing services, youth justice facilities and educational facilities upon completion of the Youth Work certificate.
