Using Drones for Live Streaming Udemy
Price: USD 20
  • Duration: Flexible

Course details

In this course, we have put together what I think is the easiest, most affordable and professional live video production system you can create with a live drone. The system consists of a regular Windows Laptop, two PTZ cameras, an audio mixer and a Phantom 3 drone. In this course you will learn how to livestream and record a concert/musical performance to destinations such as YouTube Live and Facebook among others. The tutorial includes a popular request for incorporating live drone footage into the stream to provide aerial views and additional footage during your live production. There is a PDF slideshow available for download which outlines our complete set up. We have put together a simple outline for a professional approach to live video production with a modern live streaming setup.

One of the most important tips for live streaming a concert is making sure you have access to a dual channel audio feed from the mixing board. Also, make friends with the audio guy! In this workflow we are taking two 1/4 audio feeds from the mixing board and converting them to USB for our live stream with Wirecast.

By the end of this course you will gain in-depth knowledge on how to set up a live stream specifically for musical performances and/or outdoor concerts/festivals. You will understand how everything connects together and learn helpful tips to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Because we know everyone uses different live streaming systems we have videos explaining the integration with the follow:

1. NewTek Tricaster

2. vMix

3. Epiphan Pearl

4. Wirecast
