Course Description:This three day experiential workshop aims at exposing participants to rescue situations and decision making to drive the turnaround process. Extensive coverage is given to Operations, Marketing, Sales, HR, strategy and Management during a rescue. The focus is decision making and reflecting on the results of the decisions made. Through simulation and group work, two to three facilitators support and enable experiential learning.

- Deduct the causes of decline in the venture by applying models in practice for decision strategies

Course Content:
- Based on the pre-work given to delegates before attendance, they are faced with full data of a distressed company. They are appointed as the rescue team. They submit decisions and receive new statements for the next quarter including income, cash flow statements, balance sheets, management statements for Operations, HR, Marketing, Sales and a scorecard.
- Application: Situations analysis, Negotiation with stakeholders (role players) and Applying strategies, Chapter 6.
- Debriefs of three quarters of decision making to track the outcomes of decisions, training on relevant aspects.
- Application: Strategising, reporting and board presentation.
- Final rescue activities after 6 quarters, results debrief and strategy debriefs.
- Application: Identification of "disproportionate influencers" of problem situations and reflections on "what could be done different"
