All participants will be required to carry out a 45 minute inspection of a construction site, after which they will be given 60 minutes to prepare a written report on their findings, using a report form provided, covering the hazards observed and remedial action recommended. This inspection will be conducted and the report completed within 2 weeks of the written examination.

A written examination in the form of one paper, NCC2, will be sat on the final day, from 2.00 to 4.00 pm. The format of this paper will be as per the National General Certificate and Fire Certificate, but obviously the questions will be construction biased.

The course tutors will mark the practical inspection reports in accordance with NEBOSH criteria and NEBOSH will mark the written paper. Results will normally be advised within 10 weeks of examination date by NEBOSH.
