Course Structure
Designed with CIPD subject matter experts, the CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate will equip you to perform better in your role, through engaging, performance driven learning experiences. This qualification is designed to develop your career in HR Management through understanding the role of HR in the wider organisational and environmental context.
Through our team of CIPD Tutors and our Virtual Learning Campus, you will be taught the latest thinking and best practice within Human Resource and Personnel and Development online, being able to study wherever best suits your lifestyle..
You will progress as part of a group, starting on the same date: working to a structured timetable, completing collaborative learning activities and attending live online classes. You will also be expected to commit around 8-10 hours a week to self-study, during which time you will have full support from your tutor via phone, email and online. This method of learning has been proven to give Students extra motivation to progress through their course with the support of a group of peers sharing advice, knowledge and encouragement along the way.
Live online classes
Regular live online classes will be held for this Level 5 Intermediate course. These will be hosted by one of our experienced CIPD Tutors, tailored specifically to the needs of your group and held in the evenings for your convenience. These live classes give you the opportunity to interact with your tutor and fellow learners. The classes are also recorded.

The Certificate in Human Resource Management is made up of six units:
- Developing Professional Practice - 4 credits
- Business Issues and the Context of HR - 6 credits
- Managing and Coordinating the Human Resources Function - 6 credits
- Using Information in Human Resources - 4 credits
- Resourcing and Talent Planning - 6 credits
- Employment Law - 3 credits

- Level 5 qualification - comparable to studying at under-graduate level
- Gives you Associate membership of the CIPD
- Six units - with six tutor-marked assignments. There are different types of assessment tailored to the content of the unit, these can include videos, podcasts and written assignments., each comprising a standalone Award and together making up the full CIPD Intermediate Certificate in HR Practice qualification
- There will be optional workshops available during the course, for anyone who wants to refresh study skills and get assessment guidance in a face to face setting.

- Offers progression to study at Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management.
