Course Description:Biotechnology is the application of science and technology to living organisms for the production of knowledge, goods and services. Biotechnology is considered by many to be the next major wave of commercial activity in the innovation sphere, following the decline of activity in the ICT sector. Through their involvement in biotechnology, entrepreneurs (current and future) have an unparalleled opportunity to develop and commercialize new products and services and to develop and grow their own businesses.
This course is aimed at entrepreneurs in the biotech sector and at anyone who may have an interest in any aspects related to entrepreneurship in biotechnology. This includes post-graduate students, would-be entrepreneurs, people who have already started their own companies and those that may have been in businesses for some time but who might wish to look at entrepreneurship from a biotech perspective. Undergraduate students will also be able to attend.
