Course Overview
Exercise to music (Group Exercise) instructors love to be at the front of the class, helping others to achieve an excellent workout. As an instructor you may work for one centre or teach classes at different clubs. You may even decide to be self-employed, teaching your own classes locally. New and changing workout styles will help you keep your classes interesting, fun and up-to-date.
A dynamic, determined approach with excellent motivational skills is essential for success. During your course you will experience practical input from a variety of inspiring instructors, this will help you to build your own confidence and performance skills. You will be able to create and design your own Freestyle classes putting together a variety and fusion of class types suiting your clients needs and that are commercially in demand due to the individuality of your chosen style
After qualifying as a Level 2 Exercise to Music (ETM) instructor you have the skills and freedom to teach a wide variety freestyle classes without having the limiting factors of pre choreographed brands such as license expense, music selections and limited creativity of choreography etc.
A CYQ level 2 ETM qualification is the preferred International pre-requisite qualification to the popular pre choreographed programmes such as Les Mills, fully recognized by IC -REPS and UAE REPS

- The components and principles of fitness
- Choreography Skills
- Exercise technique and safety
- Teaching skills for effective instructing and cueing
- Relevant skills and knowledge needed to design and teach exercise to music in a variety of styles, from hi/lo to body conditioning
