Course details
This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in implementing and managing a Social responsibility guidance based on ISO 26000. This training is consistent with the project management practices established in ISO 10006 (Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for Quality Management in Projects). The participant will learn the different core subjects and issues: human rights, labour practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvement and development. This training is fully compatible with SA8000 (Global social accountability standard by the Social Accountability International).
IMPORTANT NOTE: ISO 26000 is a reference document that provides guidance for socially responsible behavior into the organization. Organizations that implement these social responsibility guidance based on ISO 26000 cannot be certified by certification bodies nor call themselves ISO 26000 certified. Although it is not possible to get an organization certified to ISO 26000, it is possible to implement its guidance and to audit an organization against this guidance. The personnel certifications PECB offers (Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor) serve to fulfill this market need.

- Preliminary analysis and determining the level of maturity of an existing social responsibility program
- Writing a business case and a project plan for the implementation of a social responsibility program
Day 2: Planning a social responsibility program based on ISO 26000

Day 3: Implementing a social responsibility program based on ISO 26000

Day 4: Controlling, monitoring, measuring a social responsibility program

Day 5: Certification Exam
Prerequisites
- ISO 26000 Foundation Certification or a basic knowledge of ISO 26000 and/or SA8000 is recommended

This training is based on both theory and practice:
- Sessions of lectures illustrated with examples based on real cases
- Practical exercises based on a full case study including role playings and oral presentation
- Review exercises to assist the exam preparation
- Practice test similar to the certification exam
- To benefit from the practical exercises, the number of training participants is limited

The "Certified ISO 26000 Lead Implementer" exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). The exam covers the following competence domains:
