About Dubai Chinese Learning Center (CLC)

Dubai Chinese Learning Center (CLC) was established January 15th, 2007 as a non-profit organization. The mission is to spread Chinese culture and language to all who are interested. The CLC staff teaches Chinese (Mandarin) as both a native and a foreign language in a proper instructional environment with a solid curriculum. Students from all nationalities and ages gather together with one common goal, to learn Chinese.

CLC accommodates student diversity with a variety of courses. There are classes for children and adults, beginners to advanced, native speakers to non-native speakers, as well as private and business courses. Every enrolling student will be evaluated and assigned to the appropriate class based on their speaking level and age. We tailor all courses to each individual class, maximizing efforts and procuring a higher success rate.

CLC believes in quality education, continual improvement and family involvement. Teachers meet regularly on curriculum development, classroom management and lesson planning. This ongoing share system gives teachers a creative and effective foundation to build on in their class work. In addition, teachers provide direct communication to parents on lessons, progress and expectations. Parents share in the responsibility of making Chinese part of their child’s every day life outside of the classroom through ten-minute homework activities.

Culture is very much a part of CLC. Each year the center organizes relevant activities pertaining to Chinese holidays and ceremonies, and often participates in large-scale activities around Dubai, obtaining Chinese Consulate support and media attention. These public demonstrations allow for everyone to connect to the popularity of this wonderful culture outside the classroom.
