One of the first steps towards to becoming an effective negotiator is being able to identify and understand your own negotiation style. The success in your business and personal life depends on how successful you are in negotiations. However, when we are confronted with conflict at work, at home or on the street, most of us tend to react through habit or emotion and that can often lead to disastrous consequences. It is also important to recognise and understand that different cultural expectations and demands place limitations and restrictions on people. Therefore, this course looks at the multi-cultural implications. The trainer will aim to draw out best practice and to support and guide delegates in their aim to be more assertive. This course will take delegates through practical exercises on how to strengthen their assertive influencing and negotiation skills. Delegates will get feedback on how to improve their ability to communicate and negotiate in simple, complex and difficult negotiations situations.
