To equip Learners with knowledge and skills necessary to identify training and development needs at an organisational and individual level, to devise a training plan and to explore the scope of training and development design to meet those needs.
Summary of Course Programme
- Explain the difference between training and education
- List and discuss external environmental, organizational and individual factors influencing training, e.g. legislation, certification
- Examine the purpose of training
- Explain the systematic approach to training
- List and discuss the benefits of training to society, economy and individual
- Define Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and assess benefits of same
- Explain the stages of TNA
- Conduct a TNA
- Use the TNA results in training design
- Identifying any barriers to effective training and dealing with same
- Develop appropriate training materials, e.g. powerpoint presentations, videos, samples, handouts, online facilities
- Design a training plan based on training priorities uncovered during TNA incorporating learning and motivation theories
Assessment:
- Project 60%
- Assignment 40%
Entry Level: Application reviewed prior to entry. Minimum Train the Trainer (either 6N3326 or E30179 ) or equivalent required to attend this course
