Course details
To equip learners with the skills, knowledge and competence to work in Tourism/Hospitality sector safely while maintaining food hygiene standards. Acquired skills will include front of house/concierge skills and food and beverage service. Learners will study broad based industry specific modules such as Customer service, Food Hygiene, Meal Service, Work Experience and Plate & Tray skills. The programme will combine much sought after Industry specific knowledge and skills along with structured assessed Work Placement. By the end of the programme, the learners will have the theoretical knowledge of Tourism and Hospitality and the practical skills to be a huge addition to a potential employer. Learners will also have developed skills to ensure a positive dining experience which meets the needs of the establishment and the customer to ensure return business. Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance / Benefit or on the Live Register for or longer. Eligibility must be confirmed by DSP Employment Services. Participants who will get an additional work experience.

Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- Aptitude Test will be required to test literacy and numeracy
- Experience in working within the Hospitality Industry is advantageous but not essential
