Course details
These qualifications have been developed to provide those working in the construction industry with the knowledge required to ensure that new builds and retrofitted buildings are carried out with suitable environmentally sympathetic equipment, and offer their customers advice on energy consumption and selection of the most appropriate equipment. The qualification will also be supported by Employability Skills to facilitate a transition to full time work. Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance / Benefit or on the Live Register for longer. Eligibility must be confirmed by DSP Employment Services.

Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Junior Certificate Maths and English at ordinary level or equivalent. This does not exclude candidates applying through the Accreditation for prior Learning (APEL) route.
- Good literacy and numeracy. Good basic IT proficiency – Word Processing, information retrieval. Possession of a full drivers licence will be an advantage.
- Previous experience of working in the construction sector would be an advantage.
