The programme develops a mix of Social Media as well as traditional communication, business and sales skills and is inclusive of a work placement. Social Media is now considered central to online Marketing. It involves communicating and networking via various online tools such as facebook, twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, to engage with stakeholders. It is an important element of online/digital marketing and should be considered in an organisation’s Marketing Strategy and Business Plan. In a highly competitive jobs market employers are looking for online marketing savvy staff with Social Media and strong Business skills. Whatever industry it is - whether banking, retail or the arts, these skills are in demand as most businesses move online. Programme Overview:

- Post-delivery Employment supports – Jobs Clubs The programme is accredited by QQI to level 5 (3 minor awards). These minor awards will be 40% of a major award in Marketing. This Digital Marketing QQI awarded module is considered the industry standard by employers. What types of Jobs / Careers will this course prepare the participant for: - Digital Marketing executive - General Administration - Marketing Executive - Sales Executive - Sales & Marketing Administration - Communications Officer (with responsibility for social media platforms) - Office Administrator/Manager (with responsibility for social media platforms) Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance / Benefit or on the Live Register for longer. Eligibility must be confirmed by DSP Employment Services.

Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years
- Ideally educated to leaving certificate standard, or in exceptional circumstances consideration will be given to candidates that have relevant sales/marketing experience - Good computer skills – i.e. be able to navigate the internet - Good level of spoken and written English
- Experienced jobseekers with sales or marketing background looking to up-skill in the area (e.g. those with sales/marketing/business qualifications or degrees, or those with marketing experience who wish to update their knowledge in the digital/online arena OR - Jobseekers (leaving cert standard) looking to pursue a career in digital marketing OR - Those looking to set up their own business in the future and who wish learn about marketing themselves online and sales techniques
- Some previous experience desirable
