Course details
The project has been identified to specifically provide the targeted skills to keep pace with the employers and to meet the skills gaps in ireland and the Dublin area in particular, in the area of accounting and financial services. It will allow participants to secure entry level positions in all sectors in the areas of finance. According to the EGFSN vacancy overview report (2013), the accounting and financial services sector was among the most frequent vacancies reported. Sales, Accounts and Business Development Managers accounted for 5% of vacancies on Irish jobs i.e. with a further 3% of vacancies relating to Book-keepers, Payroll managers and Wage Clerks. Ultimately the aim is to get participants into full time employment. Roles such as Accounting Technicians, Financial Administrative workers are quoted in particular with above average growth and completion of this project would be suited to careers/jobs in these areas.

Requirements
- 18 years of age
- Leaving Cert 5 passes or equivalent ( e.g. FETAC Full Award)
- Willingness to learn and numerical aptitude. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Analytical approach to problem solving and decision-making is essential. Good diagnostic skills
- There are no previous academic qualifications or experience required.
