The Estate and inheritance law for bankers course provides a comprehensive approach to understanding the specific area of estate and inheritance law that is necessary for inpiduals working in Islamic finance institutions. It highlights the importance of the inheritance law, its underlying concepts and its position in Islamic jurisprudence both from a theoretical and practical aspect.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the fundamental concepts of the inheritance law and its position in Islamic jurisprudence
- Identify and rank obligations attached to the estate of a deceased person based on the level of priority
- Distinguish between the three types of heirs: Ashab al-Fara'id, Al-asabat and Dhaw-u'larham
- Solve practical issues of inheritance such as al-Rad, al-Awl, al-Munaskhat, and binding will
- Identify and apply laws used in Shariah courts on issues related to inheritance
