The Art of Managing Decisions

Course details

Through a series of lectures, slides, and a workshop led by one of LRI's senior consultants, this course will teach you how to effectively manage decisions.

You will learn how to:

• Design an effective decision-making process
• Delegate effectively
• Balance the desire to get everyone's input with the need to make decisions quickly
• Help other people make better decisions

You will also gain the ability to answer the following questions within the decision-making process:

• When should one person make the decision?
• When should consensus be used?

Addressing and learning about the"ins and outs" of these points will make you a better leader and manager. In addition to the core curriculum around managing decisions, this course also provides a workshop. This workshop will teach you how to use a tool we call The Three Steps to Flawless Decision-Making.

You will learn how to walk through the process of decision-making with the simple checklist provided by the tool. This tool will help you think about and reinforce your understanding of how you as a decision-maker also play an important role in managing decisions.

This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
