Combining NFQ Level 6 certification from DIT with ICT-industry certification from Microsoft, TechElevate 2.0 targets level 6/7/8 graduates of ICT/Computing, and offers ‘industry-focused’ skills training with key professional workplace-skills development. TechElevate 2.0 is highly practical, with a choice of 3 Streams, developing talent for the following roles: - Web Developers - Cloud Solutions Systems & Network Administrators - IT Technical Sales Executives / Project Managers Training is delivered with high-specification resources in Dublin’s Digital Hub, Limerick City, and Cork City, and participants undertake work-placements in ICT roles. Wish to pursue a career in ICT/Web industries (essential). For IT Tech-Sales Stream, sales aptitude potential (essential).

Requirements

  • no minimum age requirement
  • Graduates of: Computing/Computer Applications level 6/7/8 programmes; or Recent ICT Skills Conversion programmes; or NFQ level 6/7/8 ICT specialisms in HEA Springboard programmes. Or equivalent through Recognition of Prior Learning – this would require significant relevant work experience to demonstrate aptitude and ability to undertake this programme at NFQ Level 6
  • Abstract concepts (essential). Ability to think logically (essential). Ability to think analytically (essential). Self-directed learning ability (essential). Willingness to follow instructions and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Submission of a CV (Curriculum Vitae) is encouraged, to include evidence of previously acquired ICT-skills. No previous ICT work experience required (although some work experience, even if non-ICT-related is desirable though not required).
