Course details

This course is ideal for ITEC graduates/therapists who wish to progress to teach their therapy. On successful completion of this course you will be entitled to provide courses which lead to ITEC qualifications in ITEC approved colleges. The Holistic College Dublin (HCD) has been a course provider for over 21 years and in that time we have established a very high standard of training. Our years of experience, expertise and professionalism will provide a depth of knowledge to each candidate which is unrivalled in the industry.

An important component of this course will involve working with our college instructors as they deliver theory and practical sessions. This will allow each candidate to gain an insight into the practicalities of running a course in terms of how to design, plan, deliver, assess and evaluate a learning programme.

On this course each trainee lecturer is provided with a workbook file to record the following:

  • 6 assignments (set and marked by ITEC)

  • Teaching observation

  • Teaching practice

Assignment 1:

Structure of the Educational System.

Assignment 2:

The teaching and learning process.

Assignment 3:

Roles of the lecturer and learner.

Assignment 4:

Organisation of a 100 hour course including content and training materials for theory and practical sessions.

Assignment 5:

Methods of evaluation.

Assignment 6:

College administration.

Alison is a college director at Holistic College Dublin. She has 25 years clinical experience and 24 years teaching experience, bringing great knowledge and enthusiasm to each diploma ctheirse. Her qualifications include; Diplomas in Holistic Massage, Yoga Teaching, Healing Therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Beauty Therapy, Fitness Instruction & Personal Training, Remedial and Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage, Seated On-Site Massage, Pilates Instructor, Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage (all levels) and a Higher Diploma in Neuromuscular Therapy. Prenatal (Pregnancy) and Post Partum Massage, Stone Therapy and City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Delivering Learning and Occupational First Aid. Alison is also a registered I.T.E.C instructor, and is on the national register of trainers with FAS/ Enterprise Ireland.
Aubrey is a college director at Holistic College Dublin, and program developer for their cutting edge Sports Massage ctheirse and C.P.D. workshops. His 23 years clinical experience and 19 years teaching experience, enables him to bring high standards of professionalism and expertise to each diploma ctheirse. His qualifications include: Diplomas in Holistic Massage, Yoga Teaching, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Healing Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Seated On-Site Massage, Stone Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Fitness Instruction and Personal training, Therapeutic Massage, Sports Massage, Orthopedic Massage and certificates in Delivering Learning and Occupational First Aid. Aubrey has a particular interest in the pain free treatment of over-use, repetitive strain and chronic injuries. Aubrey is also a registered I.T.E.C instructor, and is on the national register of trainers with FAS/ Enterprise Ireland.
