INTRODUCTION

We’ve all come across remarkable teams that seem to have extraordinary connectivity and performance. We’ve also experienced hurting teams that continually seem to strive and struggle to align. The INNER WORKS and OUTER WORKS of Teams. This is the focus of the “Synergizing for Success” workshop. Explore the spirit of a team and what matters at the heart of it. Also, examine the task of developing teams, involving three critical components in shaping an effective team. Discover how to focus your energy on the right places. Put the two together to show how Inner Work and Outer Work complement one another in building a high performance team.

This course is conducted by Capelle Academy (CET).

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the program, participants should be able to:

• Appreciate the internal relationship tensions in a team and critical components in shaping an effective team.
• Facilitate team contribution. This includes identifying team members, aligning roles and responsibilities to organizational goals, delegating tasks, communicating expectations and empowering the team.
• Develop team competence. This includes coaching, staff development and encouraging team work
• Encourage team celebration. This includes monitoring and evaluating team progress and performance and giving feedback to teams. It also includes ensuring that that there are systems to recognize contributions, creating a culture that celebrates individual and team-based efforts and achievements.

METHODOLOGY

This program will feature the following learning methods:

• Psychometric profiling to understand one’s natural team role and appreciate the contributions of others
• Group discussions on in-class exercises and back to work applications
• Experiential activities to reinforce learning through fun
• Personal reflection and action planning
