Aim

This course is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to operate effectively as a Line Manager, Supervisor, Team leader

Content

Learners who successfully complete this module will:

  • acquire the theoretical knowledge enabling them to understand the role and responsibilities of a supervisor / Manager
  • acquire a range of supervisory and management skills
  • develop good interpersonal communication skills
  • demonstrate the confidence to deal with a variety of challenging situations
  • develop good work practices appropriate to their role as supervisor/line manager
  • demonstrate their ability to implement the learning through practical application in their work

Who should attend

Participants will normally be either practicing or aspiring Supervisors / Team Leaders who may have had no formal management education. Whilst there are no formal educational requirements, learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme

Education and Training:
BTC specializes in the Training and Development of adults who may have left school without formal education attainment, particularly those employed in the Warehouse / Logistics area within the Supply Chain sector. The cornerstone for this training has been the development of ctheirses customized to suit this cohort. they offer participants FETAC Awards containing credits enabling them to progress through the various levels – FETAC level 4 Warehouse Skills; FETAC level 5 Team Working in Warehouses; and FETAC level 6 Warehouse Management. In addition, BTC offers a wide range of FETAC Programmes in levels 1 to 3. Participants have an opportunity to obtain a National and International recognized Certificate while giving them the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for job promotion and career development either internally in their Companies or externally, in other Companies.
Programmes are delivered to suit the needs of the participants involving a range of different delivery systems including full-time and part-time, evenings / theyek ends and Blended Distance Learning. Tutor support is available during the duration of all Programmes.
Details of the Programmes are available on request and every help is given to inpiduals to embark on the best Programme for them.
